Erzincan Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu, who is known for his extraordinary behavior and practices, launched the campaign “Stop White Bread, Let’s Eat Whole Wheat Black Bread”. Indicating that excessive bread consumption in Turkey is caused by white bread, Yazıcıoğlu said that black bread has numerous benefits and said, “This bread has a ‘Viagra’ effect.”

Governor Recep Yazıcıoğlu compared black bread to the “Viagra” pill, which is sold like cheese bread in the USA and relieves impotence, to explain how useful and nutritious it is. Yazicioglu said, “There is an effect in black bread (Viagra-Impotence pill)”.
In his statement, Yazıcıoğlu stated that excessive bread consumption and waste in Turkey are caused by white bread, adding that the harms of white bread and the benefits of wholemeal bread are not well known.
