Metro stations flooded in the capital of the country, which suffered the worst flooding in the last 80 years. The city’s wealthy Gangnam district is also among the affected areas. Flood waters killed eight people. Three of the dead were trapped in a flooded basement, the Interior Ministry said.
The ministry also informed that 9 people were injured and at least 7 people were missing. While the authorities have warned that heavy rain will continue, the army announced that it is ready to support the cleaning of the streets and the drainage of water.
700 HOUSES DAMAGED
Water discharge in many basements and subway tunnels in the city continued all day yesterday. About 700 homes were damaged and the victims were placed in nearby gyms.
