UNSC will meet on Monday to discuss Israel’s attacks on Gaza
It has been reported that upon the request of Palestine, the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) will meet on Monday, August 8, to discuss Israel’s attacks on the Gaza Strip.
According to the news in the Palestinian news agency WAFA, Palestine’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Riyad Mansour, stated that they have contacted UNSC members to respond positively to Palestine’s request to “stop and condemn the Israeli attacks and provide international protection for the Palestinians”.
Noting that the request was made through the United Arab Emirates (UAE), a temporary member of the UNSC, Mansur said that many UNSC members responded positively to this request.
