It has been reported that the websites of a number of institutions and infrastructures in Taiwan have been subjected to cyber attacks in the last few days due to the visit of US House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taiwan, and some of the attacks include software from China.
According to the Taiwan News website, the websites or systems of the Presidential Office, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Defense, Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport, Taiwan Railways Administration and Taiwan Energy Corporation have faced an increase in attacks since August 2.
Authorities found that some of the attacks were carried out by China and Russia. Websites affected by the cyber attack have become temporarily unavailable.
