Israeli attack on Gaza: Islamic Jihad commander killed

It was announced that Teysir al-Jaberi, one of the commanders of the Quds Army, the armed arm of the Islamic Jihad Movement, and 3 more people were killed and 19 people were injured in the attacks carried out by Israel in the Gaza Strip.

Islamic Jihad Movement Spokesperson Davud Shihab said in a statement to Al Jazeera television channel that Teysir al-Jaberi, one of the leading figures of the movement, was killed in Israel’s attack on Gaza.

It was stated that the building where Teysir al-Jaberi was staying was bombed by Israel. A resident of the building said, “We had just had lunch and my children were playing. We fled when there was a sudden big explosion in the building we live in. We were shocked as the building was full of civilians. I saw many wounded being evacuated,” he said. In the statement made by the Islamic Jihad Movement, it was emphasized that the attack would be responded to.

According to Anadolu Agency, the Palestinian Ministry of Health announced that 4 Palestinians, including a 5-year-old child, were killed and 19 injured in Israel’s attacks on Gaza. Speaking to Yediot Ahronot newspaper, an Israeli army official claimed that 15 members of Islamic Jihad were killed in the attack on the Gaza Strip.

The Israeli army also announced that it had hit some targets in the blockaded Gaza Strip. In a written statement made by the Army Spokesperson, it was stated that “the army hit Gaza in the face of threats originating from the Islamic Jihad Movement in the Gaza Strip” within the scope of the attack called “Dawn”.

In the statement, it was also stated that a “special situation” was declared on the Israeli front in the area extending up to 80 kilometers around the Gaza Strip. Images were shared on social media, targeting some places in Gaza and rising smoke.
