Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that the London Embassy was attacked by a radical religious group. In the statement made by the ministry, it was reported that a group of people entered the embassy building in London and committed an act of vandalism, hung religious flags on the balcony of the building and shouted radical slogans.
In the statement, it was stated that the members of the group were taken out of the building and detained after the intervention of the local police, and there were no injuries among the embassy employees. It was noted that the incident is being investigated by local law enforcement and information will be given about the results of the research.
In the statement, it was noted that, in accordance with the Vienna Convention, the warning regarding the security of diplomats and diplomatic buildings was brought to the attention of the British authorities through diplomatic channels.
