Floods in Iran: At least 53 dead

It was announced that at least 53 people died as a result of floods and landslides that were effective due to heavy rains in Iran. According to the news of Reuters, the authorities stated that the flood affected 400 settlements in 18 states for 2 days, with 16 people still missing. The search for the missing continues.

Tehran Governor Mohsen Mansouri told state television that flooding is still effective in the areas north of the capital Tehran, but some hikers and tourists are trying to reach those areas. Mansouri stated that the city of Firuzkuh, which is located about 140 km north of Tehran, was the place most affected by the flood, with 10 dead. It was announced that at least 8 people died and a tomb was damaged as a result of the landslide that took place on Thursday in Imamzade Davud village.
