This position provides leadership, ISS systems integration and technical oversight for Life Support Projects that fall under the Life Support Systems Branch, EC3 for the ISS Program. Initial tasking will focus on the MiniTOCA support hardware project and the ISS TOCA project. This position will oversee multiple projects in direct support of NASA EC3 and interface directly with the ISS Program. Projects will go through the design life cycle including requirements development and verification, hardware design, development and testing; project reviews, safety review support, product reviews and approvals. Typical job function will include overseeing project teams for maintaining project schedules, project planning, leading reviews, reviewing drawings, reviewing of requirements and verifications, conceptualizing methods of operations; reviewing trade studies and assessing design, assessments of hardware options, qualification and acceptance testing, delivery of hardware and statusing functions to NASA customer (Johnson Space Center in Houston, TX). Budget planning and management are required along with presentations to Division and Program Management.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for providing project leadership and oversight for projects developed for flight. Acting as NASA EC3 Project Manager for assigned project tasks such as: interfacing with ISS Program (ISSP) and representing NASA EC3 perspective for project requirements development, strategy development, integration, failure response/troubleshooting, design/performance specifications, interface specifications, and operations integration. ISS Interfaces for data, power and fluids will be key to negotiate agreements.
Responsible for monitoring and managing budget and technical content of assigned ISS ECLSS projects with respect to quality, requirements, interface specifications, operations concepts and schedule, risk identification, and provide integration of projects within the ISS ECLSS team as well as within the NASA systems and organizations. Evaluate product data and designs; review performance reports and documentation.
Requires preparation of reports and presentations pertaining to findings and issues associated with assigned ECLSS projects. Provide support for routine and special communications between applicable parties (for example but not limited to: meetings, telecoms, and in writing) in order to develop a consensus among the stakeholders involved in the issues or decisions. Travel is not likely required.

Required Education/experience, skills and training:
Requires a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field and normally possess 10 years of experience, with 4 years of relevant engineering experience.
Knowledge and experience working with ISS Program; familiar with ISS computer systems, power systems, fluids
Ability to integrate across multiple stakeholders, NASA contractors, IPs.
Strong leadership ability
Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience
Desired Experience and Skills:
Experience with ECLS hardware or similar technologies
Experience with EA-023 and Project development life cycle
