Position Title: Flight Operations Division Spacecraft Systems Engineer

Position Summary: KBR has an opportunity for a Flight Operations Division Spacecraft Systems Engineer with extensive experience and understanding of core spacecraft vehicle, payload, and ground systems engineering and analysis to work in Aurora, CO. 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide launch and mission readiness subject matter expertise to operations and engineering including readiness for launch, spacecraft initialization, and transition to mission.
  • Perform technical analyses, document, and present findings
  • Conduct anomaly support, launch, and mission readiness, and end to end space systems architecture.
  • Maintain close communications with the program acquisition office and customer engineering organizations providing recommendations on risk level of spacecraft activities.
  • Evaluate Concepts of Operations and Operating Instructions.
  • Oversee day to day execution of operations and processes to ensure proper attention to health, safety, and effective use of national resources.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelors and nine (9) years or more experience;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) field – contract requirement
  • Technical knowledge of SIGINT spacecraft systems (bus, payload) and
  • subsystems (attitude and control systems, propulsion, life support systems, etc.),
  • ground communications and mission data processing systems, space vehicle
  • mission planning and command and control systems.
  • Experience in operational readiness, rehearsals, and system testing

Clearance Requirement: 

  • Must have an active Top Secret/SCI clearance with CI Poly

Basic Compensation:
