Job Description
The purpose of this position is to provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) as needed for:
• input to an NRC Combined License Application (COLA) Environmental Report and/or
• SME review of selected Environmental Report subject areas
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Job Requirements
• Senior-level experience and scientific/technical educational background
• Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and sixteen (16) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty (20) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• 10+ years of experience in subject area(s) or similar expertise qualifications (e.g., registration, professional certification, recognized Fluor expert, etc.):
o Geology, hydrology, and/or hydrogeology
o Air resources, meteorology
o Cultural and historical resources
o Demographics, socioeconomics, and environmental justice
o Ecological resources; ecological risk assessment/impacts
o Human health risk assessment
o Radiological dose assessment and health impacts; controls
o Waste management related to nuclear power plants, nuclear projects
o Nuclear plant operational impacts to the environment
o Nuclear plant construction impacts to the environment
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
• Familiarity with US environmental laws and regulations, including NRC licensing experience and/or Environmental Report experience
• Familiarity with the US Department of Energy (DOE) complex and the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) site
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to facilitate knowledge transfer
• Continue education and knowledge of industry-wide HSE-related information and technologies as well as new regulations and trends through continuing education, conferences, and/or periodicals, and continues to develop in-depth specialization

• Ability to work independent and on teams to complete assignments
• Ability to work remotely
• Ability to complete assignments on schedule
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks at once
• Not anticipated to be fulltime.
o Assignment will address technical questions/issues as Environmental Report sections are developed and provide senior-level review of identified sections
• Successful completion of less complex or smaller projects
• Demonstrate high level of interpretive thinking and mature judgment
• Advanced computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the advanced use of spreadsheets, electronic presentations and databases
• Effectively demonstrate high critical thinking/reasoning ability
• Effective presentation skills including public speaking
• Strong organizational and leadership skills
• A valid driver’s license, if required
